In Diablo 4, players will once again return to Sanctuary to face the horde of the Burning Hells. If you want to get in as soon as humanly possible, then you will need to pre-download Diablo 4's launch version.

This guide explains details surrounding Diablo 4's pre-load, including when you can start the pre-loading process and the download size.

Update on 31 May 2023: We've updated this article to reflect the latest information about the Diablo 4 pre-load for full release. Exact date and time for the D4 pre-load has been confirmed on all platforms!
We also added a countdown clock for good measure!

How to Download Diablo 4

Check out the exact instructions on how you can download Diablo 4 once it becomes available.

Download Diablo 4 on PC:

• Launch the Battle.net client. If Diablo IV is not already in your Favorites bar, you can add it by clicking on the + icon. Alternatively, you can find Diablo IV by accessing the All Games page. You’ll see Diablo IV at the top of the list.
• Once you get to the Diablo IV Game Page, click the blue button that says Install. The game will install, and once it’s available, click Play to Launch.

Download Diablo 4 on Xbox

• Launch the Xbox Store and search for Diablo IV and purchase the game. Select Download.

Download Diablo 4 on PlayStation

• Launch the PlayStation Store and search for Diablo IV and purchase the game. Select Download.

Update: At the time of writing, the exact file/download size for Diablo 4's pre-load is yet to be announced.

Diablo 4 will be available on PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Download size may vary by platform.
